Samaritans
Samaritans provides free, confidential emotional support to anyone who is struggling, overwhelmed, distressed or simply needs someone to talk to.
You do not need to be suicidal to contact Samaritans.
How they can help:
You can call and speak to a trained volunteer about whatever is troubling you. The service is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Phone: 116 123
Calls are free from UK landlines and mobiles.
Why we’ve included it:
Estrangement from an adult child can sometimes feel unbearable, particularly during periods of acute grief, loneliness or crisis. Samaritans offers immediate emotional support when you need to talk to someone.

If you are in immediate danger or believe you may harm yourself or someone else, call 999 or go to A&E.
Inclusion in our directory means we believe this organisation may be useful to members. It does not mean Estranged Parents is responsible for the service provided by any external organisation.
